Purport of Special Issue
This is the call for papers for “Special Issue on Advanced Technology in Experimental Mechanics” of Mechanical Engineering Journal published by JSME.
Recently, experimental mechanics is the field to create new technologies to measure stress, strain and fracture of solid materials, consequently. It is expected to play a central role for the security of social infrastructures.
Under this circumstances, ATEM-iDICs '23, The Advanced Technology in Experimental Mechanics and International DIC Society Joint Conference 2023, was held at Awara, Fukui, Japan, during Oct. 9-12, 2023. In this time, it was held as a joint conference with International DIC Society (iDICs).
The Special Issue on Advanced Technology in Experimental Mechanics is published as the one of Mechanical Engineering Journal. Every participant of ATEM-iDICs '23 is invited to submit the paper based on their extended abstract of ATEM-iDICs '23. The papers are published through the standard review process. The publication fee will be discounted.
Vol.12 No.3 (June 15,2025)
Submission starting date: September 30, 2024
Submission Deadline: November 30, 2024
Note: Please select a Section/Category "ICONE31(MEJ:TEP)" on Editorial Manager.
Power and energy system division holds International Conference on Nuclear Engineering (ICONE) collaborating with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Chinese Nuclear Society (CNS) by yearly. The 31st ICONE (ICONE31) will be held in Prague, Czech in August, 2024 hosted by ASME. The theme of ICONE31 is "24/7 Clean Nuclear Energy - Solution for Global Warming." Active discussions are expected on various fields related on nuclear engineering such as plant operation and maintenance, nuclear fuels and materials, next-generation reactors, fuel cycles, reactor safety, thermal hydraulics, computational fluid dynamics, and response to events beyond design basis, etc. It is important to disseminate research presentations and discussions on the importance and safety of nuclear energy utilization in the future to the whole world through the JSME journal at this conference. Therefore, we are planning a special issue to invite research papers on the theme of this special issue based on the papers to be presented at ICONE31.
Vol.12 No.4 (August 15,2025)
Submission starting date: November 29, 2024
Submission Deadline: January 31, 2025
Note: Please select a Section/Category "Recent Advances in Micro-Nano Science and Technology on Micromachines 2024 (MEJ:MN)" on Editorial Manager.
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue will publish selected papers from the 15th Symposium on Micro-Nano Science and Technology on Micromachines in Sendai, Japan, 25–28 November 2024.
We encourage contributions on significant and original works in order to understand physical, chemical, and biological phenomena at the micro/nano scales and to develop applied technologies. The conference will cover the following main topics:
1: Precision machinery, lubrication, and design;
2: Material mechanics;
3: Fluid mechanics;
4: Thermal science and engineering;
5: Production processing and mechanical materials;
6: Robotics and mechatronics;
7: Medical biotechnology;
8: Micro/nano system.
Papers attracting the most interest at the conference, or that provide novel contributions, will be selected for publication in Micromachines. These papers will be peer-reviewed for validation of research results, developments, and applications.
