Special issues we are going to publish is as follows:
Vol.12 No.2 (April 15,2025)
Submission starting date: October 25, 2024
Submission Deadline: November 22, 2024 November 29, 2024
Note: Please select a Section/Category "Advances in Dynamics, Vibration Engineering and Control Systems(MEJ:DR)" on Editorial Manager.
This special issue focuses on the latest developments in dynamics, control systems, vibration engineering, and biomechanics, based on contributions from a prominent international conference in these areas. The issue aims to showcase cutting-edge research and technological innovations that address complex challenges in motion and vibration control, robotics, and biomechanical systems. Key topics include novel control algorithms for dynamic and vibrating systems, advanced modeling techniques in biomechanics, and applications in human-robot interaction. By emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches, the issue seeks to merge theoretical advances with practical applications in fields such as mechanical engineering, robotics, and biomedical engineering. Submissions covering both foundational research and real-world implementations are encouraged. This issue is intended to facilitate collaboration among experts and researchers, contributing to the advancement of dynamics, vibration, and control systems technologies in both engineering and biomedical domains.
Vol.12 No.3 (June 15,2025)
Submission starting date: September 30, 2024
Submission Deadline: November 30, 2024
Note: Please select a Section/Category "ICONE31(MEJ:TEP)" on Editorial Manager.
Power and energy system division holds International Conference on Nuclear Engineering (ICONE) collaborating with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Chinese Nuclear Society (CNS) by yearly. The 31st ICONE (ICONE31) will be held in Prague, Czech in August, 2024 hosted by ASME. The theme of ICONE31 is "24/7 Clean Nuclear Energy - Solution for Global Warming." Active discussions are expected on various fields related on nuclear engineering such as plant operation and maintenance, nuclear fuels and materials, next-generation reactors, fuel cycles, reactor safety, thermal hydraulics, computational fluid dynamics, and response to events beyond design basis, etc. It is important to disseminate research presentations and discussions on the importance and safety of nuclear energy utilization in the future to the whole world through the JSME journal at this conference. Therefore, we are planning a special issue to invite research papers on the theme of this special issue based on the papers to be presented at ICONE31.

Note: Please select a Section/Category "Recent Advances in Micro-Nano Science and Technology on Micromachines 2024 (MEJ:MN)" on Editorial Manager.
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue will publish selected papers from the 15th Symposium on Micro-Nano Science and Technology on Micromachines in Sendai, Japan, 25–28 November 2024.
We encourage contributions on significant and original works in order to understand physical, chemical, and biological phenomena at the micro/nano scales and to develop applied technologies. The conference will cover the following main topics:
1: Precision machinery, lubrication, and design;
2: Material mechanics;
3: Fluid mechanics;
4: Thermal science and engineering;
5: Production processing and mechanical materials;
6: Robotics and mechatronics;
7: Medical biotechnology;
8: Micro/nano system.
Papers attracting the most interest at the conference, or that provide novel contributions, will be selected for publication in Micromachines. These papers will be peer-reviewed for validation of research results, developments, and applications.

Vol.13 No.4 (August 15,2026)
Submission starting date: November 3, 2025
Submission Deadline: January 18, 2026
Note: Please select a Section/Category "Recent Advances in Materials and Processing 2025 (MEJ:SMM)" on Editorial Manager.
Service environment of materials is getting severer monotonously. In order to keep human society comfortable, conventional materials are replaced by higher performance materials or suitable materials are newly developed. The material processing technology is also growing rapidly. The conventional materials with the new processing technology can extend the allowable range of services and can find new service fields. On the other hand, sustainable procurement (or green procurement), as a public policy, must be considered seriously to select materials in industrial products. From these backgrounds, the 2nd JSME International Conference on Materials and Processing 2025 (ICM&P 2025) will be held from November 3 to 6, 2025, at Hilton HOTELS & RESORTS, Guam, USA as an international activity of the Materials and Processing (M&P) Division, JSME. This conference will be meaningful for many researchers and scientists to exchange their knowledge and experience with each other and to establish relationships for collaboration. The special issue of Mechanical Engineering Journal, entitled "Recent Advances in Materials and Processing", will welcome to be submitted by the authors who presented research works at the above conference. The submitted manuscript will be peer-reviewed again in accordance with the editorial policy of JSME.
