COMODIA 2022 Conference Overview
Main Theme
Pursuing the Optimum Powertrains with Internal Combustion Engines for Global Environment

Purpose
While the EV-shift has attracted much attention mainly in light duty automobiles, many breakthroughs are necessary for battery and motor systems to completely and efficiently substitute powertrains with internal combustion engines for ships, construction machinery, and in other sectors as well as with light and heavy duty automobiles. The powertrains with internal combustion engines still have excellent potential to provide the optimum practical solutions for issues including global warming as many permanently difficult issues remain in the battery and motor system development. In this symposium, engineers and researchers in industry and academia from all over the world will discuss an extensive range of topics from fundamental to applications in internal combustion engines, including combustion technology, chemical reactions, modeling, diagnostics, engine control, and lubrication issues in the pursuit of optimum solutions for future powertrains.
