第5回 How can Fledgling Researchers Convert Dissertations into Research Papers?

Deep Sarkar

One of the ways in which credibility is measured in the science community is through the number of research papers published by a researcher. This puts a lot of pressure on young researchers to prove themselves in their respective fields. Creating an original piece of research can be a difficult and time-consuming task for postdoctoral researchers, to the extent that coming up with a research question can be scary. One of the solutions to this predicament is converting one’s PhD thesis into research papers. Since researchers usually spend a considerable amount of time conducting an original kind of research during their PhD, that research can be published in form of papers, giving them a head-start in their publishing career.
