発電式動吸振器による標識柱の振動低減

The authors propose an absorber that generates electrical power in order to not only suppress vibration but also get electrical energy when many traffic signal poles are oscillated by wind, traffic turbulence. The absorber consists of a displacement magnifying mechanism by using levers, solenoid coils and rare-earth magnets. It is useful for small deformation between a beam and a column of the traffic pole. Vibration modes of the pole are analyzed by using FEM, and then a small scale model of the traffic pole is built up. The small scale model has 2.7 m high, consists of a steel column and a cantilever beam due to rescale about 1/3 times of a real scale model, and the natural frequency of first mode is arranged to 3.5 Hz. Trial absorber is manufactured and a damping force, which is caused by the coils crossing magnetic field, is adjusted. Dynamic characteristics of the trial absorber are measured by a shaking actuator. In order to confirm vibration reduction and energy conversion, harmonic vibration test of small scale model when the trial absorber is installed is carried out by using a shaking table. The experimental results of the harmonic responses are compared with the calculated results which are derived by FEM. Effect of vibration suppression and efficiency of generating electrical power are evaluated experimentally and numerically.
葉脈のネットワーク構造

Many features of organisms have the possibility that can be applied to the infrastructure and network system for the communication. From the previous studies, the network system of the venation is known as the strong network on the damage. This relates the structure of leaf vein. In this study, we are focusing on the network of leaf vein to understand the strong network system. First, we study the network structure to know the relation between damage on leaf and the strong network. Then, the influence of damage on leaf vein for the water absorption on the leaf was studied with the dye flow visualization. The result shows that the network type of vein on real leaf is the mesh type network. The mesh type network has the benefit to make a bypath when the vein has the damage. The result of dye flow visualization shows that the real leaf requires the single vein to make a bypath for damage region. The increasing of area on water absorbed relates the distance of water absorption. This means that number of vein is not dominant for the speed of water absorption. Therefore, the network of leaf vein has a high robustness from the damage of vein by the mesh type network.
ガスタービン吸気冷却用水噴霧ノズルの噴霧性状評価

Water spray is used for cooling suction air of gas turbine for power augmentation. Cooling efficiency depends on the spraying properties. The aim of this study is to investigate the spray characteristics and the influence of secular change in the spray nozzle. PDA (Phase Doppler Anemometry) measurements are conducted at each cross section in wind tunnel which is scale model of inlet duct. Pin type nozzles and a hole type nozzle are tested. Same type nozzles with different using period are also tested. The nozzles are new one and old one which is used 1750 hours before the spray experiments. The spray properties in high spatial-temporal resolution are provided by the PDA. As a result, the droplet size by a pin type nozzle has no change after 1750 hours. The data rate, velocity and flow rate decrease after 1750 hours due to increase of the passage resistance by filter clogged. Pin type nozzles have asymmetry shape in data rate distribution due to the existence of pin. The SMD distributions by pin type nozzles have flat shape in the measurement region. The SMD distributions gradually increase in the value from the center to outer in hole type nozzle. Droplet size dispersion at each measuring point for all nozzles are also evaluated by the experiment. Dispersion of diameter increase in from the center to outer in a hole type nozzle. Also cooling efficiency and the relations of particle density are evaluated. If the particle density is high, the cooling efficiency become small even if the particles have small diameter and high velocity.

よごれ0(ゼロ)ロボッ子

この‘よごれ0(ゼロ)ロボッ子’は、体が掃除機のようになっています。手は掃除のアイテムが出てくるようになっています。口はゴミを吸い込めるようになっています。そして、吸い込まれたゴミは大きなおなかに入り、それが‘よごれ0(ゼロ)ロボッ子’のごはんとなります。目はセンサーが付いていて部屋のよごれがあるとすぐに気づけるようになっています。足はモップで水などをふけます。モップは自由に動きます。頭にはアンテナが付いていて、電気に近づくと体全体が気づき、動くようになっています。これが‘よごれ0(ゼロ)ロボッ子’の仕組みです。
