Welcome to MoViC 2024 & APVC 2024

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 17th International Conference on Motion and Vibration Control (MoViC 2024) and the 20th Asia-Pacific Vibration Conference (APVC2021) to be held on 5-8 August 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. This year, MoViC and APVC are co-organized.

MoViC is an event that is organized once every two years. It aim is to stimulate contacts between scientists active in the area of Motion and Vibration Control and engineers of virtually every field. It started in Yokohama, Japan in 1992 and has been held in Japan in 1994, 1996, 2002, 2010, 2014, 2020, Switzerland in 1998, Australia in 2000, USA in 2004, 2012, 2022, Korea in 2006, 2018, Germany in 2008, and UK in 2016. The purpose of this MoViC is to discuss recent progress in the fields of motion and vibration control and their application to industrial, economic, and environmental issues. It is hoped that the conference will encourage interdisciplinary researches as well as international cooperation in these fields.

APVC is an international conference series established by a group of reputable researchers/academics from the Asia Pacific countries to encourage scientific and technical exchange and cooperation on vibration and vibration-related fields. It started in Japan in 1985 and has been held in Korea in 1987, 1997, 2013, China in 1989, 2001, 2017, 2022 (virtual), Australia in 1991, 2003, 2019, Japan in 1993, 2007, Malaysia in 1995, 2005, Singapore in 1999, New Zealand in 2009, Hong Kong in 2011, Vietnam in 2015. The APVC aims to bring researchers, engineers, and students from, but not limited to, the Asia Pacific countries in a collegial and stimulating environment to present the most recent advances in theories, technologies, and new applications regarding vibration and sound. This conference pays special attention to cultivating a sociable and professional atmosphere to encourage socializing, and networking between attendees, and to forge new friendships and consolidate the existing ones, in addition to the benefits of exchanging new ideas and technologies.
